Therapeutic Approaches
My Integrative Approach
Understanding the Whole Person to Create Meaningful, Lasting Change.

Looking Beneath the Surface
Many emotional struggles don’t develop overnight. Anxiety, depression, perfectionism, relationship difficulties, low self-worth, and feeling stuck are often connected to deeper emotional, relational, and psychological patterns that have developed over time. While practical coping strategies can be helpful, lasting change often begins with understanding the experiences, relationships, and recurring patterns that continue to influence your life today.
Rather than focusing only on symptom relief, therapy provides an opportunity to better understand how past experiences, attachment relationships, emotional habits, and unconscious beliefs shape the way you think, feel, relate to others, and experience yourself. Greater self-understanding creates new opportunities for healing, growth, and meaningful change.
An Integrative, Personalized Approach
Psychodynamic therapy provides an important foundation for my work, but I don’t believe a single therapy model fits everyone. Instead, I integrate psychodynamic therapy with attachment theory, cognitive-behavioural therapy (CBT), emotion-focused therapy, solution-focused therapy, mindfulness-based approaches, and trauma-informed care to create a customized approach that reflects your unique experiences, strengths, goals, and needs.
Together, we explore the deeper patterns influencing your life while developing practical strategies that strengthen emotional resilience, improve relationships, and support meaningful, lasting change. Therapy isn’t about fitting you into one model—it’s about finding the combination of approaches that best supports your growth and well-being.

Beginning Therapy
Every therapeutic journey begins with understanding your unique experiences, goals, and the patterns that have shaped your life.
You don’t need to have everything figured out before beginning therapy. Many people start because they’re feeling stuck, overwhelmed, disconnected, or curious about why certain patterns continue to repeat in their lives.
Our first sessions focus on understanding you as a whole person—your current concerns, relationships, personal history, strengths, and goals. Together, we’ll develop a shared understanding of what has brought you to therapy and identify an approach that reflects your unique needs.
As therapy progresses, we combine deeper self-understanding with practical strategies that support healthier relationships, greater emotional resilience, and meaningful, lasting change. The pace of therapy is collaborative and evolves as your needs and goals change over time.

Understanding the Whole Person
Many people begin therapy because they’re struggling with anxiety, depression, stress, relationship difficulties, burnout, grief, low self-worth, or simply feeling stuck. While addressing these concerns is important, I believe lasting change begins by understanding the deeper emotional, relational, and psychological patterns that continue to shape your life.
Rather than focusing only on what’s happening today, we explore how past experiences, attachment relationships, emotional habits, unconscious beliefs, and recurring life patterns influence the way you think, feel, relate to others, and experience yourself. By understanding these patterns, we can identify new ways of responding that support healthier relationships, greater emotional resilience, and meaningful, lasting change.
My approach integrates psychodynamic therapy, cognitive-behavioural therapy (CBT), emotion-focused therapy, solution-focused therapy, attachment theory, mindfulness-based approaches, and trauma-informed care. Rather than applying a single model to everyone, therapy is customized to your unique experiences, strengths, goals, and needs. Together, we work to understand the whole person—not simply the problem that brought you to therapy.
